"Was it a verse of scripture in the message or perhaps a hymn which spoke to you"; the pastor enquired as he led me to the Lord in Killaughey Mission Hall. How does a 15 year old explain the workings of the Holy Spirit? I never heard a word he said that night because from the minute I entered the building the presence of the Holy Spirit came upon me, I was aware of nothing else! I then started to read God's word and it was so clear to me, that life was no longer about me - 'IT WAS ALL ABOUT JESUS' my part was to share this wonderful gift of salvation with everyone who would listen. Jim Simpson's testimony

I was born in a little terrace house in Constance Street. I was one of a family of eight children, four boys and four girls, my parents were not Christians but they were very loving and caring and it would have been hard to find more loving parents anywhere. As a young boy I went to Avoniel Primary School then to Euston Street P.E. School. On leaving school at the age of 14 I started work in Loopbridge Weaving Factory and my working day was 8am – 6pm 5 days a week. [read more]
